Richard Nolan

Candidate for Thornton Township Supervisor

Richard Nolan is a compassionate and dedicated public servant with a proven track record of leadership, collaboration, and community engagement. With a strong
work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a
commitment to dependability. As Vice-President Richard has consistently demonstrated his ability to lead with
integrity and deliver results.

Compassionate Leadership: Throughout his career, Richard has shown deep care for the
community, focusing on initiatives that uplift and empower residents, especially underserved populations.

School Board Leadership: Twice elected as Vice-President of the School Board for District 133,
Richard used collaborative skills to promote teamwork among board members, ensuring policies that benefited students and families.

Dependability: As an elected Village Trustee for Riverdale from 2011-2015, Richard served with reliability and dedication, advocating for fiscal responsibility, community development, and transparent governance.

Mentorship and Advocacy: Volunteering with the Cook County Sheriff’s Department, Richard worked as a mentor to youth offenders. Richard also worked in a program sponsored by The Minister’s Conference of South Cook County, providing guidance and hope to young individuals in need of direction.

Teamwork and Adaptability: In 2017, Richard partnered with Ann Dorr of the Commerce
Department and Linda Clark of the Black Chamber of Commerce to organize the largest job fair in Thornton Township history, leveraging teamwork and adaptability to connect hundreds of residents with meaningful job opportunities.

Richard is known for his reliability and ability to bring people together, he has the vision, experience, and drive to lead as Township Supervisor. He is committed to fostering economic growth, building strong partnerships, and ensuring that every resident has access to the resources and opportunities they deserve.

 

David Barnes

Candidate for Thornton Township Trustee

David Barnes is a 43-year-old father of five, he was born and raised in Chicago.

As a Community Health Worker, Outreach Worker, and HIV tester/counselor, David is deeply committed to serving underserved communities. His passion for helping others comes from his own lived experiences on the west and south sides of Chicago.

Through his work and as a volunteer with Servants for Hope, David has seen the power of removing barriers to help people help themselves.

David believes in the strength of these communities and is running for Township office to create opportunities, empower individuals, and bring real, positive change. He is also a deputy registrar.

Jeffery Coleman

Candidate for Thornton Township Trustee

Jeffery Coleman is a serial entrepreneur with over 25 years of experience advising and consulting in government affairs, strategic relationship building, orchestrating community outreach activities, commercial project management and product marketing.

Jeffery is committed to community engagement for the specific purpose of educating and motivating Generation X and Generation Y about the political process, economics and education.

More importantly, Jeffery’s experience in working with various minority groups in Illinois – spanning over two decades – lends to his solid reputation and community outreach credibility.

Jeffery currently serves as the Deputy Republican Committeeman in Thornton Township

Carl V. Dombrowski

Candidate for Thornton Township Trustee

Carl Dombrowski has been a proud resident of Lansing for 41 years and is deeply committed to the community. He has been a small business owner for 45 years and, one of the top-producing sales professionals in the moving and storage industry.

Carl brings a wealth of leadership and organizational experience. He was a scout leader and coached Lansing Little League for 16 years, fostering teamwork and sportsmanship in local youth, and served six years as Parent Board President for the Merit School of Music in Chicago, advocating for arts education.

Carl is dedicated to building a thriving, inclusive, and connected Thorton Township for all its residents.

Kesha Richardson

Candidate for Thornton Township Trustee

Kesha Richardson is a Small Business Owner with over 20 years in Corporate Finance and Corporate Trust, holding several specialized positions including Derivatives Specialist, Trust Accountant, Corporate Actions Specialist and Trust Administrator.  

Kesha also worked in the Non-Profit Sector for 5 years, as Office Manager, Program and Event Coordinator for the Midwest office at NPCA; which advocated diligently for the designation of Pullman, working with hundreds of Chicago residents, businesses and government agencies to implement the award-winning vision Positioning Pullman. She also provided support with planning and organizing the Great Lakes Conference. 

Kesha’s business, Wax and Lacquer, won two grants from Cook County Small Business Source and won Best of Oak Park in 2022. Kesha also sits on the board of NuSole Wellness Organization, which is a non-profit initiative dedicated to providing free Medical Pedicure Services to seniors & individuals facing chronic illnesses on a fixed income. 

Kesha is passionate about community outreach and relationship building. Developing strong relationships is the foundation of everything she does, both professionally and personally.  

Tim DeYoung

Candidate for Thornton Township Highway Commissioner

Tim DeYoung is a lifelong resident of South Holland, and has been actively involved in the community for over 30 years. He has over 25 years experience in Information Technology, Marketing and Entrepreneurship.

Tim is an active member of the Executive Committee of the Heritage Community Party of South Holland, serves on the school board at Calvin Christian School in South Holland, and serves as a Planning and Development Commissioner in the Village of South Holland.

Tim is a former Deacon Treasurer at First Reformed Church of South Holland. He also served on a Consumer Advisory Board at General Motors.

Tim is dedicated to truth in information, and brings accountability and dependability. He is committed to fostering lasting community relationships. Tim has been serving as the Republican Committeeman in Thornton Township since 2014.
